Supporting indie comic creators through education, research, and creating opportunities and access to grow indie comics made by New Zealand comic creators.

Mission Statement

Indie Comic Creators of Aotearoa works to identify barriers and opportunities for independent comic creators living and working in New Zealand through conducting or commissioning research; creates educational opportunities for comic creators through organising and/or hosting workshops and mentorships; and supports the visibility of indie comic creators through connecting creators with retail stores in New Zealand and through hosting indie comic conventions to engage the community with independent comics.

Through the work of the Indie Comic Creators of Aotearoa, New Zealand’s independent comic creators will be known for the quality of their artistic works, bringing acclaim to Aotearoa’s comic industry both nationally and internationally.
